The Surgical Observation Unit at Deaconess Gateway is a fast-paced, 13-bed specialty unit where nurses play a key role in evaluating, treating, and guiding patients through critical care decisions. With patients staying just 8-24 hours, you'll care for a wide variety of diagnoses while using strong critical thinking, assessment, and time management skills to help determine the next step in each patient's journey. Working closely with physicians, patients, families, and the Deaconess care team, you'll be at the center of coordinating care, communicating results, and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
