Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
In addition to the duties, responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Staff Nurse job description, the Clinical Team Leader is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, organizing, directing and supervising activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of PH by providing the highest quality care in the most cost efficient manner,provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community quality and stewardship.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. BSN desirable. Certification in specialty area required or earns within one year of accepting position. Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System's Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs. Current BLS provider. Current certifications required for specialist areas (ie.
NRP, ACLS
) Additional future certifications as directed/required. 3-5 years clinical experience in area of focus. This position is located in Valparaiso, IN.
