Salary Range:
$16.00- $23.
Qualifications Required:
Successful completion of a nurse assistant training program and knowledge of general nursing assistant functions Current nursing assistant certification in the State of Kansas High school diploma or equivalent BLS certification required or must complete BLS certification within the first two weeks of employment. Responsibilities Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms. Assist patients with mobility, transfers onto exam tables, or dressing changes as needed. Obtain and accurately document vital signs and collect data related to the patient's visit. Review and document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Assist healthcare providers with physical examinations and procedures as directed. Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection within the scope of practice. Clean, prepare and stock exam rooms with necessary medical supplies and equipment, ensuring strict adherence to infection control. Label, and process lab specimens (e.g., blood draws, urine samples, swab tests) as directed. Provide basic patient education regarding pre-and post-visit instructions as directed by the nursing or medical staff. Perform general clerical tasks, including document labeling and faxing. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Performs tympanograms and hearing tests for patients 3.5 years and younger the audiologist is unavailable. Communicates audio results with provider to determine appropriate follow-up. Properly charts patient encounter and action and inputs data into practice management software. Properly identify patient needs requiring audiology management. Organizes and maintains neat physical appearance of the workspace. Maintains and supports audiologist communication and correspondence, Assists in ordering supplies for the hearing booth. Keeps the Bio-Link software up to date. Calibrates the Bio-Logic Pro Flex Otometric machine.HIPAA:
