Job Description

The Adult Day Program Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, person-centered care and support to adult and senior participants in a social, therapeutic day setting. This role assists participants with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes independence, ensures safety, and helps deliver engaging program activities that enhance overall quality of life. The CNA works collaboratively with the nurse and program staff to maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment. Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
EST Tasks:
Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility. Support participants with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and special dietary needs. Monitor and report changes in participants' physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the nurse or program staff. Assist with therapeutic, recreational, and social activities to encourage engagement and meaningful participation. Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment aligned with health and safety standards. Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to participants. Help with transportation and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and therapeutic equipment. Follow infection-control procedures and emergency protocols. Maintains participant's records according to regulations and established policies and procedures. Follows nursing directives. Attends staff meetings and educational programs relevant to job responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned by Administrator.
Qualifications :
Active Kentucky Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. CPR/First Aid certified by the American Heart Association Six month of experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or dementia preferred. Strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to compassionate care. Ability to work in a team-oriented, activity-based environment

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
