Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation protocols. Support clinical staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and catheter care when necessary. Implement infection control procedures following aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care strategies. Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers or mobility assistance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care to ensure comprehensive patient service. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times. Experience Previous experience working in medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient records management. Experience providing senior care, geriatrics, or post-acute/sub-acute care services across inpatient or outpatient settings. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy fundamentals relevant to patient care practices. Exposure to hospice or infectious disease care environments is advantageous for understanding complex patient needs. Certification as a CNA is required; additional training in advanced skills such as medication administration or basic life support is preferred.
