What You Will Do As a Team Leader, you will provide operational, clinical, and leadership oversight for the department ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting the strategic goals of Baton Rouge General. Lead the day-to-day operations of assigned nursing unit(s) Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-focused care through effective leadership and operational excellence Monitor staffing levels, patient acuity, and census to ensure appropriate resource allocation Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the patient experience Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor performance metrics to support departmental goals Develop and maintain a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and professional growth Respond to and resolve patient care, employee, and operational concerns in a timely and effective manner Support regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and organizational policies and procedures Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to established best practices and quality standards What Sets BRG Apart At Baton Rouge General, we are a community of compassionate, caring individuals who set the bar when it comes to healthcare excellence. Experience Requirements Prior supervisory experience preferred Cardiac nursing experience required Education Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Unit-specific training requirements completed within six (6) months of hire National certification in specialty area strongly preferred Special Skills, Licensure & Knowledge Requirements Current Louisiana Registered Nurse License required Strong leadership, organizational, and performance management skills Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations Knowledge of nursing operations, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Safety & Compliance Expectations Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements Complies with all organizational safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards Promotes a culture of patient safety, employee safety, and continuous quality improvement Ensures compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care
