Assist with personal hygiene care, including diaper changes, dressing, and cleaning. Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using wheelchairs or mobility aids. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed. Assist with feeding, ensuring children are able to eat and drink safely and comfortably. Follow the care plan based on each child's specific condition. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the children. Document and report any changes in the child's condition to the healthcare team. Provide recreational support and engage in therapeutic activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children, preferably those with disabilities, is a plus. Willingness to train in other areas of the clinic to maximize efficiency. Ability to Lift, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods Strong understanding of the needs and care plans of children with disabilities. Compassionate and patient, with the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to lift and assist children with mobility and daily activities. Basic first aid and CPR certification required. One year documented employment experience in the care of infants or children or one year experience in caring for a medically fragile child. Be currently registered with the Certified Nurse Aid Registry or Direct Service Worker Registry as a CNA or DSW in good standing and without restrictions.
