Category CNA- Certified Nursing Assistant Job Type Contract A fantastic opportunity is available for a Certified Nursing Assistant seeking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment. This position involves working directly with a kindergarten-aged student who uses a wheelchair and has significant medical needs. The role is full-time, with 32.5 hours per week, providing coverage from September through November, with potential to extend through the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one care and support to a young student with complex medical requirements within the school setting Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using appropriate techniques Monitor the student's health status and promptly respond to medical needs throughout the school day Collaborate closely with school nurses, teachers, and support staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment Support daily living and classroom participation, respecting the child's dignity and privacy Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any health-related incidents

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Active CNA license required Previous experience with pediatric care, preferably in a school or educational setting Knowledge and demonstrated skill in supporting children with physical disabilities and high-level medical needs Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel Compassionate, patient, and adaptable working style
