In this role, you'll provide one-on-one support to individuals in their homes, helping promote their comfort, safety, dignity, and independence . You'll work closely with clients and their families while supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Provide personalized, one-on-one care in a home environment Help clients maintain their independence and quality of life Build meaningful relationships with clients and their families Support individuals with a variety of care needs and backgrounds Make a meaningful impact through compassionate, dedicated caregiving Work in an environment where your skills, dedication, and compassion are valued Key Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance , including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) while promoting safety, dignity, and independence Observe and monitor vital signs , including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, and promptly report significant changes Assist with medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols and applicable requirements Complete accurate and timely documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Safely assist with patient transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment, including Hoyer lifts and transfer belts Provide compassionate care and support to clients living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients with cognitive impairments Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation , and maintaining a clean and hygienic living environment Support clients receiving hospice or end-of-life care with compassion, dignity, and respect Provide emotional support to clients and their families while respecting individual preferences and care needs Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable home healthcare regulations QualificationsRequired Valid CNA or HHA certification , with current licensing or registration as required by applicable Maryland COMAR regulations Experience in assisted living, nursing home, home healthcare , or a similar caregiving environment Knowledge of personal care, ADLs, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration protocols Ability to safely assist with patient transfers and physical care needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with clients, families, and care teams Understanding of patient confidentiality, HIPAA requirements, and basic home healthcare practices Preferred Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities , or other specialized care needs Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as AxisCare or WellSky Experience using Hoyer lifts and other patient transfer equipment Current CPR and First Aid certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience providing senior care, hospice support, or end-of-life care Work Environment Care is provided directly in clients' residential homes One-on-one care focused on each client's individual needs Opportunities to work with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and clients requiring memory or hospice care A supportive environment where caregivers can use their skills to provide safe, compassionate, and dignified care Who Should Apply? $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
