Certified Nursing Assistant/Medication Technician

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in home care environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse patient populations, from geriatric to pediatric and individuals with disabilities or complex medical conditions. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices during repositioning or transfers. Administer medications under supervision following proper protocols and maintain precise medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care such as catheter care, wound dressing assistance, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and memory support for residents with cognitive impairments. Assist with patient transfers using appropriate methods while ensuring safety during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks. Support patients' emotional well-being through attentive caregiver communication and compassionate presence. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in diverse healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, hospice settings, or outpatient clinics. Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or dementia care is highly valued.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
Knowledge of medical terminology, basic life support (BLS), CPR certification, and proficiency in patient transfer methods are essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent caregiver communication skills, understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care, and adherence to HIPAA standards for maintaining patient confidentiality. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
