Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients across various settings. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work closely with medical professionals and support individuals of all ages, including geriatric, pediatric, and special needs populations. As a CNA, you will be instrumental in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting healthcare professionals during treatments like phlebotomy or catheter care. Implement patient transfer methods safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper manual handling practices are followed at all times. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff; communicate effectively with patients and team members to ensure seamless care delivery. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations; handle medical records with precision and professionalism. Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, practicing basic life support (BLS), and supporting emergency response procedures like CPR when needed. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with diverse populations including long-term care residents, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care such as Alzheimer's or dementia care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care. Prior experience in settings such as hospitals (ICU, trauma centers), skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities or home health environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; physically capable of manual handling tasks including patient transfers with Hoyer lifts or other equipment.
