✔ Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs. ✔ Lift, move, and transport residents. ✔ Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services. ✔ Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units. ✔ Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures. ✔ Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel. ✔ Answer resident's requests for service promptly. ✔ Perform various tasks including vital signs, resident's weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc. ✔ Float between all units depending on the need. ✔ Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned. Education, Training, Experience ✔ High school graduate or successful completion of GED. ✔ Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements. ✔ Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan. Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications ✔ Successful completion of a Michigan state approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA ) or other education that meets state certification requirements. ✔ Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan. Physical Requirements ✔ Stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift ✔ Lift up to 50 pounds ✔ Use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely ✔ Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
