Centered Care is seeking dependable, patient, and energetic Attendant Caregivers to provide one-on-one support for a client in the St. Johns area. Every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Whether you're helping a client get ready for work, attending therapy appointments, participating in community activities, or providing encouragement through challenging moments, you'll play an important role in helping them live as independently as possible.
NOTE:
Client does have a cat and smokes in the home What You'll Do Provide one-on-one attendant care in the client's home and community. Safely transport clients to appointments and community activities. (must have a Michigan drivers license, current auto insurance, a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle to transport client in.) Assist with activities of daily living while promoting independence. Use positive redirection and de-escalation techniques when needed. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Complete documentation and communicate with the care team. Build trusting relationships that encourage confidence, growth, and independence. Qualifications Dependable, patient, and compassionate. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Experience with behavioral support, de-escalation, or direct care is preferred. Physically able to keep up with active clients. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment requirements. Schedule Requirements Full-time positions available. 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every other weekend is required. Rotating holiday availability is required to help ensure consistent care for our clients. Training We want every caregiver to feel confident and prepared from day one. All new hires attend our Welcome Week , a paid onboarding and skills training program held Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM . During this week, you'll complete orientation, hands-on skills training, and learn everything you need to be successful in your new role. Why Join Centered Care? $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 48.0 per week
