Job Overview Seniors from across the West St. Paul area are making plans for full and meaningful lives at The Sanctuary. The Sanctuary of West St Paul is always looking for a caregiver whom shares our dedication to our core values of Dignity, Integrity, Service, Compassion and Innovation. One of Ebenezer's newest managed properties and destined to be one of West St. Paul's premier senior living communities, we offer both Assisted Living and Memory Care. We are conveniently located near Interstate 494 and Highway 52 and public transportation in West St. Paul, MN. The Sanctuary of West St Paul is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior age assisted living and memory care residents' physical and emotional well-being in vibrant location in West Saint Paul, MN. NO CNA required, unless under 18 years old. Position is also provided on the job training to pass medications. This part-time caregiver support position includes; 24 hours per two weeks Night shift Every other weekend
Responsibilities:
Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts. Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
May perform duties that include:
laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities. Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff. Assists with onboarding of new staff.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers while working in a team setting. Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population. CNA certificate (MN NAR registry) required, if under 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course.
