Night shift needed Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patients with medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Assist in clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, catheter care, and aseptic technique to promote infection control and safety. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient service in medical-surgical, long-term care, or hospice settings. Maintain a safe environment by following safe lifting practices during patient transfers and adhering to infection control protocols. Demonstrate proficiency in working with diverse populations, including pediatric patients, geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring acute or sub-acute care. Experience Previous experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience providing care in specialized settings such as ICU, Level I/II trauma centers, or pediatric units enhances your candidacy. Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to patient care across various age groups and health conditions. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during patient transfers or manual handling tasks. Prior caregiving experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus.
