Job Description

Americare Senior Living seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to senior residents in a residential-style setting. The CNA assists with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals, and daily activities while ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort. You will monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, follow care plans, and maintain accurate documentation. Working in a resident-centered, team-oriented culture, you'll build meaningful relationships with residents and families while supporting nurses and care staff in delivering high-quality, personalized senior care. Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene for senior residents Support safe transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility devices while following fall-prevention protocols Assist residents with meals, hydration, and adherence to dietary guidelines Monitor, document, and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to nursing staff Take and record vital signs and other basic health measurements as directed Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation in records or EHR systems Promote dignity, respect, and comfort while engaging residents in daily routines and activities Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to deliver coordinated, person-centered care Communicate empathetically with residents and families, supporting Americare's mission and resident-centered culture Required Skills Personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming) Safe transfer and mobility support Vital signs measurement and documentation Infection control practices Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Observation and reporting of resident condition changes Basic restorative and range-of-motion support Resident dining and feeding assistance Fall prevention and safety monitoring Team collaboration with nurses and caregivers
