Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in our nursing home/long term care facility. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. The Certified Nursing Assistant will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure. Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving from one location to another. Provide basic life support and emergency care as needed. Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient rooms and common areas. Document patient care activities accurately in medical records. Support patients with developmental disabilities or special needs by providing tailored assistance. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for patients. Participate in training sessions related to emergency medicine and urgent care practices. Skills Proficiency in basic life support techniques and emergency medicine protocols. Knowledge of senior care practices and understanding of the unique needs of elderly patients. Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records. Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and patience. Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
