In the GI Lab you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, GI techs, and CNAs, working seamlessly with anesthesia and GI services to deliver exceptional care. You'll play a vital role in ensuring top-tier care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Assisting with advanced GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, EUS, manometry, Fibro Scan, PillCam, Bravo, and HALO. Rotating through all areas of GI will offer you a diverse and stimulating work environment. Our department boasts advanced certifications in GI specialties, providing opportunities for you to expand your skills and knowledge. With an in-house educator, you'll have access to tailored education and in-services to enhance your career development. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, RN, LPN, you will play a vital role in the care of patients by performing basic nursing care and support tasks on assigned units.
Provide patient care such as:
ambulation, bathing, toileting, obtaining vital signs, all while maintaining a safe environment. Provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner. Demonstrate basic computer skills to accurately record vital patient information.
Experience:
Hospital experience
  • Preferred License/Certification/Education:
    BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant
  • Required High School or Equivalent
