Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital support and care to patients across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient well-being, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatric, pediatric, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Flexibility in working both early morning (7 am to 3 pm) and overnight (11 pm to 7 am) shifts is essential to meet the needs of our facility and patients. Duties Assist nursing staff with patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using safe handling practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patients with activities of daily living while maintaining their dignity and promoting independence. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care under supervision when required. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards for medical records management. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of practice. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), outpatient clinics, or home care settings. Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures such as medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with specialized populations such as geriatric patients, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and safe manual handling procedures. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like PointClick Care for documentation purposes. Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities to foster trust and rapport with patients of all ages. Ability to work efficiently during both day (7 am-3 pm) and night (11 pm-7 am) shifts while maintaining high standards of patient service.
