A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require completion of a regional agency-approved training program in order to obtain a certification before practicing.
Overview We are seeking a compassionate, patient and friendly, Caregivers with their CNA or LPN license ( active or inactive ) to provide one-on-one, NON-medical, essential support and assistance and companion care to Veteran Clients (and some Private pay clients) in their own homes (or in an Assisted Living Facility) in and around Penrose, Brevard, and Hendersonville. We aim to attract the most dedicated and reliable caregivers in the field. We will do our best to offer you a veteran client that lives closest to your home, so travel is minimal and accessibility is not an issue during inclement weather or high traffic times. We are family owned and operated and strive for customer and client satisfaction. We have been in the Hendersonville and Asheville areas for over 7 years and have serviced almost 500 veterans during this time as well as countless clients that live in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and/or in their private homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients, particularly those with specific Activities of Daily Living needs such as fall prevention, dressing, bathing, and toileting. The ideal candidate will have experience as an in-home caregiver and enjoys cooking and light housework for the elderly, have no restrictions with pets or with lifting clients for transfers as needed. Responsibilities Provide personal care services (non-medical) including fall prevention, grooming, stand by assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety. Report any noticeable changes to assigned nurses and office staff. Medication reminders. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. Implement care plans developed by our nurses, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards. Communicate effectively with scheduler concerning your availability and communicate diligently with the healthcare team, regarding clients' health changes, their needs and their progress. Requirements LPN (or CNA) experience in caregiving. (License can be active or innactive) Knowledge of geriatric care principles and practices is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Good communication skills, Reliability and Promptness are a must. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
