Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday every week 8:00 PM-8:00 AM 36 hours per week Ongoing, consistent schedule

Pay:

$21

• 25/hour, based on experience and qualifications About the Client This client is currently residing in a skilled nursing facility and requires total assistance with personal care and activities of daily living .

He has dementia and Parkinson's-related symptoms and is a high fall risk. The client can sometimes become resistant or combative during hands-on care, particularly when he is uncomfortable, confused, or unfamiliar with the caregiver. Caregivers should be confident using a calm, patient, dementia-informed approach and know when to pause, give the client space, and reapproach. Facility staff are available, but the assigned caregiver must be comfortable providing attentive one-on-one support throughout the shift. Overnight Responsibilities The CNA/Caregiver will assist with: Safety monitoring and fall-risk precautions Toileting and incontinence care Personal care and hygiene Repositioning and comfort measures Hydration reminders and assistance Overnight monitoring for restlessness or nightmares Morning dressing and routine Dementia-focused companionship and reassurance Communicating significant changes or concerns to the care team Completing required documentation after each shift The client cannot be left unattended. If the caregiver needs to step away for any reason, facility staff must be notified and someone must be present with the client before the caregiver leaves the area. What We're Looking For Active CNA certification Experience providing total-care assistance Dementia care experience strongly preferred Comfortable working with clients who may demonstrate resistance, agitation, hitting, or kicking during care Calm, patient, and able to redirect without escalating behaviors Dependable and punctual Comfortable working independently overnight Reliable transportation to Cary Able to consistently work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8 PM-8 AM Comfortable using a mobile app for clocking in/out and care documentation Why Join Guiding Light Dementia Care?
