The
PCA/CNA I
assists clients with activities of daily living and other approved tasks according to the client's plan of care. We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, respectful, patient, and committed to helping clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Responsibilities & Duties Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Assist with toileting and incontinence care. Assist with walking, transfers, positioning, and mobility as directed by the plan of care. Assist with eating and meal preparation. Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care, including changing bed linens, laundry, and maintaining a clean client area. Provide companionship and supervision as assigned. Assist with approved errands and essential shopping when included in the client's plan of care. Provide medication reminders as permitted by agency policy and the client's care plan. Observe the client's condition and promptly report changes or concerns to the supervisor. Follow fall-prevention and other client safety precautions. Complete required daily service documentation accurately and on time. Follow the client's individualized plan of care and assigned tasks. Maintain client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and personal rights. Follow infection-control procedures and agency safety policies. Report incidents, injuries, suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other safety concerns according to agency procedures. Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, families, supervisors, and other agency staff. Arrive for scheduled shifts on time and promptly notify the agency of scheduling or attendance concerns. Perform other client-care duties within the employee's training, competency, and authorized scope. Qualifications PCA experience/training or current North Carolina Nurse Aide I (CNA I) listing, as applicable to the position. CPR certification preferred, but not required . Must meet agency background screening and employment requirements. Reliable transportation to client homes. Ability to follow written care plans and instructions. Dependable, compassionate, and professional. Ability to safely perform the physical duties required for assigned clients.
