RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides courteous, qualified, and safe personal care services, as defined by the North Carolina Department of Facilities, to agency patients in accordance with the prescribed Plan of Care and under the supervision and direction of the agency's Director of Nursing and its policies and procedures.

RN. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Prior home care aide experience. Must provide own means of transportation to patient assignments. High School or High School equivalent diploma Physical condition that conforms to state and federal requirements and the requirements of the job. A compassionate and concerned attitude regarding the care of the sick and elderly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communications. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. Ability to effectively deal with stress.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work environment will be in patient homes with varying degrees of sanitary, comfort and functional conditions; visits done alone; travel on a variety of roads into various community or neighborhoods; patients accepted with communicable and/or infectious diseases. '
