The Davis Community is a vibrant senior living neighborhood and has been a proud corporate citizen of Wilmington, NC for over 60 years. We are currently seeking a full time CNA to work in our Assisted LIving 3p-11pm shift . The schedule will also include every other weekend.WE OFFER
State-of-the-art Facilities On-demand Pay Benefits begin after 30 days Low-cost lunches Free Membership to our gym and indoor pool Shift differential Work-life Balance Growth Competitive Wages Responsibilities Accurately and safely prepare, administer and document the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician, utilizing the 6 rights of medication administration. Document all entries in the electronic MAR following DHC procedures and established nursing standards. Follow DHC procedures for documentation of medications held or refused by resident. Promptly notify nurse of med error or near misses. Ensure medications are properly labeled/dated following labeling practices of DHC and Omnicare Pharmacy. Knowledge of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications as used by DHC, Pharmacists, and Physicians. Attend and participate in continuing education programs/workshops related to medication administration. During periods of nursing service need, will follow the directive to perform CNA duties. Experience Must have CNA certification Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred. Experience working with specialized populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health patients, or those with disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and other relevant clinical skills are required. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care across various medical disciplines including ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), urgent care, and post-acute settings is beneficial.Job Type:
