GLC Group is looking for CNAs in Kearney, NE, 68847 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long-Term Care (LTC) environments. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations, including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of medical documentation, patient transfer methods, and infection control protocols, ensuring safe and effective support across various healthcare settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in dynamic environments such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care settings while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor vital signs regularly and report any abnormalities to nursing staff promptly. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods to ensure safety and comfort. Provide compassionate care tailored to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments. Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, wound care, and infection control practices. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive patient service. Utilize EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documentation and communication. Demonstrate proficiency in handling heavy lifting safely and practicing manual handling techniques.
