RESPONSIBILITIES
Shall be responsible for medication management procedures, collaborate with and support Doctor in all aspects of medication management. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel. Documents patient care services by charting in client files and medical folder. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Shall attend Clinical Committee meetings. Shall conduct health education and/or psycho-educational groups as directed. Shall perform such additional functions as specifically requested by Directors to meet special facility patient needs, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Completion of a medical program with degree and/or certification in medication nursing Current First Aid, CPR and Water Safety Certificate Experience Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in evaluating and/or treating patients. Preferred experience in working with patients in a psychiatric, mental health, or substance abuse treatment setting.
