This full-time, interim position involves working closely with 5th-grade students who have complex medical needs and includes coverage of bus transportation as part of the daily routine.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to students with complex health requirements, primarily in a 2:1 ratio. Assist with daily medical and personal care needs under authorized nursing practice. Accompany students on bus rides to ensure their safety and well-being during transit. Collaborate with educational and healthcare teams to promote optimal student participation and wellness. Document care activities and communicate effectively with school staff and healthcare professionals. Participate in ongoing health plan updates and adapt to student needs as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current, valid LNA (or CNA) license. Previous experience working with elementary-level students, preferably with complex medical conditions. Ability and willingness to provide coverage for student bus transportation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, staff, and parents. Demonstrated reliability and professionalism in a school-based or pediatric setting. Prompt availability for an immediate start.
