Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The CNA plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home health environments. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision in accordance with healthcare protocols and ensure proper documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring memory or behavioral health support. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infection. Assist with medical procedures including phlebotomy or specimen collection when trained and authorized. Support patients experiencing acute or chronic conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, or post-operative recovery in hospital or post-acute settings. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Ensure safe manual handling practices during patient transfers and heavy lifting activities to prevent injury. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within medical records or electronic health records systems for accurate medical documentation. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers), long-term care facilities, hospice settings, or home care. Experience working with specific populations—including geriatric patients, pediatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs—is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms is preferred.

Additional desirable skills include:

Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers Geriatrics and dementia care expertise Experience with medical-surgical units and post-acute care Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and CPR certification Ability to perform patient service tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex health needs Competence in using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient handling This role requires a compassionate caregiver committed to delivering exceptional patient service while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining professional standards across all aspects of patient care.

Pay:

$25.82 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
