In this vital role, you will oversee the care and supervision of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children during church services. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children in the nursery, ensuring their safety at all times. Engage children with age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and learning. Follow established safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond swiftly to any emergencies. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's needs, routines, or concerns. Maintain a clean, organized nursery environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying is highly preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster a nurturing environment. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and professionalism while maintaining compliance with mandated reporting laws.
