Hours/Week Night Shift Onsite Summary:
Kidsport staff assists in the intra-hospital transport of pediatric and adult patients as directed by standard work.
Responsibilities:
Recognizes changes in patient status and notifies appropriate personnel during intra-hospital transports. Assists with procedures and monitors patients during procedures according to departmental standards of care and practice. Assists other staff members with inpatient care and movement/repositioning of patients. Follows the direction of Nurse regarding mode of transport for child. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psych/ social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age. Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise Medical Assistant; Patient Care assistant; Nursing assistant or Student nurse experience is preferred Experience in pediatrics is preferred. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Proficiency in Transport software and phone communication preferred
Education and Experience Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification:
current Health Care Provider BLS training is required.
Years of experience:
6 months or more is preferred.
