Here, you will work alongside compassionate physicians, nurses and other healthcare staff to offer patients support and comfort as they adjust to the hospice environment. - A caregiver in this position works 3 12-hour shifts per week from 6:00PM - 6:30AM, including every other weekend and holiday.
- A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform basic patient care activities.
+ Assist with procedures ordered by physician, with supervision from an RN, PT, OT or ST as appropriate. + Assist patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport. + Report and document abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. + Assist with keeping the patient's environment clean and orderly. + Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation and files at all times regarding patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and interventions. + Escalate change in patient condition to patient's physician as appropriate. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) Certification with the State of Ohio Nurse's Aide Registry + One year of clinical experience as an Aide in an acute, rehab or skilled nursing setting + Valid Driver's License (VDL) in Ohio and proof of $100,000/$300,000 automobile insurance coverage + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross within orientation period Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Assistant (CHPNA) Certification + Home Care experience

Physical Requirements:
- + Must be ambulatory, able to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate movement of the patient.
+ For field staff only: Able to drive to patients' homes and/or facilities. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

- Pay Range
- Minimum hourly: $18.
25 Maximum hourly: $24.95 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
