SUMMARY OF POSITION
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA (State Tested Nurse Assistant) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.
Requirements:
Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA certification). High school education or equivalent Experience within SNF preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Must pass a pre-employment physical Full time/Part Time (40-24hrs/wk) positions must be able to work weekend/holiday rotation Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance. Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc. Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles. Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day. Must understand infection control performance. Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication. Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
