Job Description
The Nursing Assistant - Hospice Aide works under the supervision of the Director for Hospice and under the direct supervision of the RN Case Manager. Completes basic personal care, respite/companionship duties for patients at their place of residence; within the hospital system; general inpatient; and any facilities, system or community, depending on the patient placement and according to policies and procedures.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Formal nursing assistant course, preferably through a vocational institution
- Successful completion of Hospice skills test
- Preferably one year of experience working in Home Health setting
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required
