A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require completion of a regional agency-approved training program in order to obtain a certification before practicing.

STNA Qualifications :
Current State of Ohio STNA certification Must be at least 18 years old One to two years of experience in a long-term care setting is preferred. Familiarity with basic computer skills. Ability to learn new software applications as required by the position. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.

State Test Nurse Aide you will provide care for the residents - including toileting, showers, feeding, activities of daily living, lifts and transfers, and other primary care needs. Provide quality personal care to ensure that residents are comfortable and are provided with the highest quality of care. Adheres to all guidelines learned through the STNA training program and state guidelines as well as complies with the Home's policies and procedures. Complete administrative requirements to ensure that proper documentation is maintained. Completes paperwork, medical forms, charting and all required documentation as a part of the resident care process and the transition of care process. Assists the residents during the admissions, transfer and discharge process to provide ongoing quality care and assurance during transition periods. Follow care plan functions to meet the specific needs of each resident. Focus on resident's individualized needs and encourage resident's ability to make personal choices. Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership. Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to injuries, equipment, etc., to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.
