Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our residents and patients. Duties Assist with daily patient activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in patient conditions, and communicate findings promptly to nursing staff. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs, ensuring their safety and comfort. Support medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques in accordance with healthcare standards. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with transfers and mobility using appropriate techniques for patients with complex needs including ICU or trauma center patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home & community care environments. Qualifications Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification or equivalent licensure required. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health conditions; experience in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
