Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages, including those with complex needs such as dementia, memory care, behavioral health, and post-acute recovery. As a CNA, you will be the frontline caregiver, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for every individual you serve. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and maintaining a safe environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, contributing to patient care plans and ensuring seamless communication. Assist in infection control practices by practicing aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and phlebotomy. Support patients in outpatient clinics or home & community care environments, delivering compassionate caregiving tailored to each individual's needs. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU and trauma centers), assisted living communities, nursing homes, or behavioral health settings. Experience with medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-acute care is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care and be proficient in basic life support techniques. Prior exposure to infectious disease protocols, hospice or palliative care settings, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges will enhance your candidacy. A valid CNA certification is required along with a strong commitment to patient service excellence and adherence to HIPAA standards.
