Job Description

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a current certification and back office experience is needed at our thriving Rheumatology clinic. This position will include traditional back office duties including patient care, injections, and scheduling along with a focus on covering the busy triage phone line, managing patient calls, patient portal messages, and refill requests. This MA will also have the opportunity to function as a medical scribe, working alongside providers during patient visits. Front desk experience a plus. NextGen EMR experience a plus. Insurance experience a plus. Minimum 2 years' clinical experience, preferably in the field of Rheumatology with knowledge of drugs and labs specific to the Rheumatology specialty. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Critical thinking skills. Attention to detail. Confident and assertive personality with a pleasant and professional demeanor. Solid interpersonal skills. Starting pay rate is commensurate with experience; increases are based on merit. Work-life balance. Positive work environment. Benefit package. Paid PTO and generous paid holiday schedule including Good Friday and a Birthday Holiday. Early close on Fridays at 2:00 p.m. Lunch provided Tuesday through Thursday. Therapy dog on premises.
