Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience working with diverse populations. 4 on 2 off rotation 7/3, 3/11 You MUST be certified. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Provide support in mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Maintain patient hygiene and assist with catheter care as needed. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively. Support patients with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care as required. Engage with patients to promote emotional well-being and provide companionship. Participate in training programs to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Skills Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills Knowledge of vital signs monitoring. Strong communication skills for effective patient service and teamwork within a healthcare environment.
