463 Job Description Join Our Team as a Sitter and Make a Meaningful Difference in Elderly Care We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Sitter to provide dedicated one-on-one support in a senior care and rehabilitation setting. As a vital part of our healthcare team, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents, offering companionship and assistance with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuously observe and supervise assigned residents or patients, ensuring their safety at all times. Assist with non-clinical activities of daily living, including mobility support, feeding, and personal care. Offer emotional support and companionship to promote residents' mental and emotional health. Monitor for any behavioral or health changes and promptly report observations to nursing staff. Support residents with ambulation, transfers, and positioning as directed, ensuring safe movement. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in compliance with facility policies. Follow infection control protocols, confidentiality standards, and safety procedures. Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, their families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a sitter, caregiver, nursing assistant, home health aide, or senior care companion. Experience working with elderly, rehabilitation, dementia, or memory care patients is preferred. Strong observation and communication skills, with the ability to remain attentive and calm under extended shifts. A caring, patient-centered approach to support residents' needs. Reliable attendance and punctuality. CPR certification is a plus. Ability to lift, move, and assist residents comfortably and safely.
