Shifts Available:
This is a full time night shift 1030 pm to 630 am. The night shift has a .75 cent premium added to your base rate. There is an additional Weekend premium of .75 cents as applicable as well. Provides Person Centered Care to the Sisters of St. Joseph under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. Provides care to the Sisters in a caring, empathic and time efficient manner while demonstrating respect and dignity. Provides Person Centered Care in accordance with the SSJ mission statement and nursing policies & procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Understands the Mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph and lives the Employee Mission Statement. 2. Encourages Sisters to attain and maintain their individual level of independence and wellness. 3. Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates respect for Sister's dignity and rights. 4. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean nursing unit. 5. Promptly responds to all signal lights and call bells, following through with the needs of the Sisters. 6. Renders routine patient care as assigned, is accountable for all activities of daily living (ADL) while reporting to the nurse on staff. 7. Ambulates Sisters. Demonstrates ability to safely and properly use all equipment in Marycrest. 8. Turns and repositions bedfast patients, alone or with assistance. 9. Performs basic treatments and obtains specimens under a nurse's guidance and direction. 10. Obtains equipment/supplies, stocks cupboards/shelves and notifies nurse when stock levels are low. 11. Accurately takes vital signs. 12. Interacts and socializes with Sisters as time permits. Demonstrates ability to establish rapport with Sisters. 13. Understands and applies basic theory and concepts of nutritional needs, infection control, fall management and skin care management. 14. Observes condition (physically, spiritually, emotionally & socially) of Sisters of and reports pertinent information to appropriate staff members. Verbally reports changes in patient status and appropriately documents care given. 15. Answers telephone and directs visitors as needed. 16. Attends in-services and department meetings as required. 17. Other duties as assigned.Job Type:
