Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant - (26000119) Description Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's best pre-K through 12th grade private schools, where approximately 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a cost-free home and a top-notch education. Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, the school is fully endowed today, with the resources to ensure students can thrive. The school has prepared over 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students for future generations. MHS is currently seeking full-time nightshift Certified Nursing or Medical Assistant (CNA or CMA) to join an amazing team in a diverse setting to positively impact the lives of youth! The CNA assists the registered nurses to provide high quality health care to the students (assisting with admissions & discharge procedures of students) in a 24-hour 40-bed Health Center on campus, as well as transporting and accompanying students to and from emergency room visits.
Work schedule:
11:00 pm - 7:30 am, 40 hours/week and every other weekend to support the department and students' needs.
Hourly pay rate:
$19.92 - $26.60 (plus shift differential), pay is determined based on experience. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid current certification from a state approved Nursing or Medical Assistant training program or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year experience as certified nursing or medical assistant Experience working with or around children & youth is preferred Current CPR and First Aid certifications Valid PA driver's license, in good standing OSHA trained blood-borne pathogens Physically able to lift and assist sedated students Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills. HIPAA compliant to maintain student confidentiality Candidates must be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities. Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS Staff are role models for MHS Students.
