Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-2:30 PM (School Year Calendar) We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide dedicated one-on-one support for a high school student with significant medical and behavioral needs. The CNA will help ensure the student's health, safety, and well-being throughout the school day while working closely with educational and healthcare professionals. This role requires consistent supervision and attention due to the student's complex needs, including support with activities of daily living and behavioral monitoring. Key Responsibilities Provide direct one-on-one support to a student throughout the school day. Assist with toileting, hygiene, and personal care needs while maintaining dignity and privacy. Monitor the student's health status and overall well-being. Maintain continuous supervision and implement safety measures to support behavioral needs. Support the student during classroom instruction, transitions, meals, and school activities. Observe, document, and report medical, behavioral, or safety concerns to appropriate staff. Collaborate with teachers, nurses, therapists, and other members of the support team. Follow all applicable policies, healthcare protocols, and confidentiality requirements. Respond appropriately to emergencies and health-related incidents. Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Required Qualifications Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Ability to provide attentive supervision in a school environment. Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary educational and healthcare teams. Ability to assist with student mobility, transfers, and daily care needs as required. Preferred Qualifications Current CPR and First Aid certification. Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, special needs, behavioral health, or medically complex populations. Previous experience in a school setting. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges. Knowledge of personal care assistance and safe student support practices. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and assist with student mobility throughout the workday. Ability to remain alert and engaged for extended periods.
