Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff. Support medication administration processes in compliance with healthcare protocols and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, hospice, or critical care cases in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Assist with patient transfer methods utilizing proper patient service techniques to ensure safety during movement or transport. Follow aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or infection control practices for infectious disease care. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring long-term or sub-acute care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient record management. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) to provide safe and effective patient care. Ability to perform heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Strong caregiver communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide compassionate support to patients and families. Experience working in various healthcare environments including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or home & community care settings. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and adherence to HIPAA standards for maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
