Job Description

Responsibilities

•An auxiliary person who assists the nurse in providing care to patients and is under the supervision of a professional nurse. Assists in obtaining and caring for equipment. Helps maintain a safe and clean environment within the patient unit.



Required Qualifications

•Must currently be enrolled in a Nursing program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or have Nurse Aide certification.



Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment as well and constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties.

Background ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
