Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods to safely move patients while maintaining proper manual handling techniques Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers Maintain a clean, safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient care activities Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; current state licensure preferred Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred Experience in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (ICU, trauma centers), hospice care, or outpatient clinics is advantageous Strong caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities and compassionate bedside manner Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; manual handling skills essential for patient transfer tasks Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding sensitive information Join us in providing exceptional patient-centered care that enhances lives every day!
