Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Per Diem - Woonsocket, Rhode Island We are hiring a per diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team at Athena Hospice of Rhode Island! As a per diem CNA, you will be working on-the-road covering the entire state of Rhode Island, providing care to patients in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while working for a leading provider of hospice care. $22 to $24 an hour with weekly pay. About the
Role:
As a CNA, you will be responsible for performing various services for patients, including personal care needs, vital sign taking, and skin care. You will also be responsible for observing patient conditions, reporting observations, and documenting care performed.
Responsibilities:
Perform personal care needs for assigned patients, including bathing, dressing, undressing, and feeding Assist with oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens as needed Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure Provide proper care and observation of the patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominences Meet the safety needs of the patient and use equipment safely and properly Assist with ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist Provide a normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed Offer and assist with bedpans and urinals, and help with light laundry needs
Requirements:
Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Rhode Island At least one year of experience as a CNA We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
