Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal hygiene, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. Develop and implement activity schedules that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical health for residents with diverse needs including dementia and Alzheimer's care. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and abilities to create personalized engagement strategies. Coordinate resident events by managing logistics, supplies, and volunteer involvement to ensure smooth execution of programs. Maintain detailed documentation of resident participation, progress notes, and activity outcomes in compliance with facility policies. Collaborate closely with team members including nursing staff, social workers, and family members to support comprehensive resident care plans. Skills Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy or senior activity coordination within assisted living or nursing home settings. Strong background in assisted living or long-term care environments with knowledge of geriatrics and memory care practices. Excellent communication skills for engaging with seniors, families, team members, and community partners effectively. Ability to develop innovative programs that cater to residents' interests while promoting socialization and cognitive health. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Demonstrated ability to build meaningful resident rapport through compassionate caregiving and active listening skills. Effective schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities while maintaining flexibility for residents' changing needs. Knowledge of aging issues counseling and social work principles related to senior well-being is a plus.
