Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately recording findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and medication administration under supervision or as trained Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients and their families to foster trust and comfort Ensure safe patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhere to safe lifting practices during manual handling Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare standards Assist with specialized care needs including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, behavioral health, and hospice care Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR) certification required Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer methods effectively Strong caregiver communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service Prior experience in diverse settings such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers), outpatient clinics, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices and working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional care through enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping others.
