Job Description

What We Offer Novant Health Coastal Carolina Medical Center is hiring a CNA for the Surgical Short Stay team ! In a Surgical Short Stay Unit CNAs play a critical role in facilitating fast-paced patient turnover. Because patients are admitted, operated on, and discharged within the same day, a CNA's primary duties focus on rapid preparation, close post-operative monitoring, and safe discharge under the supervision of a RN.

Status:
Full Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm - No weekends, no recognized holidays!

Measuring and documenting oral fluid intake, as well as emptying and recording output from urine bags or surgical drains Helping patients change back into their personal clothes and gathering their belongings. Keeping pre-op and post-op bays continuously stocked with gowns, linens, and clinical supplies.
What We're Looking For Education:
High school diploma, required. Completion of NAI program, required.
Experience:
One year of relevant experience, preferred. One year required, Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living
Licensure/Certification:
Completion of NAI program, Required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, Required. Medication Safety - AME, Required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, Required.
Additional skills preferred:
