Night Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) About Martha Franks Retirement Community & Oakdale Seniors Alliance Martha Franks Retirement Community is located in historic Laurens, SC, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care across independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing/rehabilitation. Martha Franks Retirement Community is owned and managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance. Under Oakdale Seniors Alliance leadership, we foster a supportive, team-oriented work culture that values our care staff and prioritizes the dignity and well-being of our residents. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Nursing Assistant / Medication Technician (NA/Med Tech) to join our Assisted Living team on a Part-Time, Night Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) basis. In this dual-role capacity, you will administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, while also providing essential hands-on assistance to our Assisted Living residents during the overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities Medication Administration:
Safely pass and document medications and treatments according to physician orders, state regulations, and community policies.
Direct Resident Care:
Assist Assisted Living residents with personal care needs, including mobility, hygiene, and nighttime comfort routines.
Observation & Safety:
Perform regular nightly checks and rounds, monitor resident physical and mental well-being, and promptly report any condition changes or emergency needs to the supervisor on duty.
Call Bell Responsiveness:
Promptly answer resident call lights and assist with unscheduled overnight needs.
Documentation & Coordination:
Maintain clean, accurate medication administration records (MAR) and care logs; participate in shift hand-offs to ensure seamless continuity of care between day and night teams.
Qualifications Certification:
Valid Med Tech / Medication Aide certification recognized in South Carolina (or CNA/Nurse Aide certification with Med Tech endorsement).
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Previous experience as a Med Tech or Caregiver in an Assisted Living or Memory Care setting is preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and a genuine passion for senior care.
Reliability:
Excellent attendance record and ability to work overnight shifts independently and responsibly.
